As Alameda County children and youth begin returning to in-person instruction this month, the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) reminds residents to get vaccinated to help protect them from COVID-19. The Delta variant is spreading rapidly among unvaccinated individuals, and the best way to protect youth from contracting COVID-19 is for all eligible Alameda County residents to get vaccinated.

The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is currently authorized for all individuals aged 12 and older, and the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to all individuals aged 18 and older. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccines or to find one near you, visit ACPHD’s COVID-19 Vaccines page.
